Identity Verification

Regardless of nationality, anyone aged 14 or over can submit an valid ID card or passport to complete identity verification. You will need to verify your identity if you wish to view 18+ commissions, enter events and giveaways hosted by CREPE, or access the Commission Request board.

  • Even if you did not complete verification during the sign-up process, you can complete it later under [User Menu > Settings > Verification].
  • Accounts that have completed identity verification will receive a verification mark.
  • You are recognized as an adult member starting January 1st of the year you turn 19.

 

Important Notes

  • In accordance with the Terms of Service, existing identity verification records cannot be cancelled or altered.
  • Identity verification is limited to one account per person.
  • To operate as an artist, artist verification is additionally required after identity verification, and this must be completed using a domestic (Korean) bank account.
  • If a domestic (Korean) bank account can not be verified after completing identity verification, registering on CREPE as an artist is not possible.
  • Identity verification expires one full year (365 days) after approval. Please re-verify using the same name as before.
    • You can continue using CREPE even if verification expires. However, access to age restricted commissions and the Commission Request board will be restricted.
    • You can re-verify your identity via [Settings > Verification > Re-verify Identity].
  • Following Articles 16 and 25 of the Terms of Service, using another person's personal information or a forged document for identity verification may result in legal sanctions including imprisonment for up to two years or a fine not exceeding 20 million won.

 

Identity Verification with Shufti Pro

International users can optionally verify their identity using Shufti Pro, which supports verification via passports, national IDs, or driver’s licenses from a wide range of countries. You can also conveniently carry out the process in your preferred language using the language selector.

 

How it works :

  1. Head to [User Menu > Settings > Verification] and click “verify identity”
  2. Prepare a valid government-issued ID
  3. Follow the on-screen steps and take a photo of your document
  4. Submit and wait for the result (it may take up to a few minutes)

Notes :

  • Make sure your ID is clear, not expired, and fully visible
  • Taking photos in good lighting reduces the chance of rejected
  • Your information is encrypted and used only for verification purposes only

 

Manual Passport Verification

For CREPE users who previously submitted a verification request via the manual passport system and wish to re-submit their passport, or users who are unable to access the Shufti Pro system, manual passport verification is available.

Mobile Phone Verification

Please note that mobile phone verification is available only to users with a Korean phone number.
