What are “Sample Requests”?
The Sample Request board is a space where artists seeking to showcase their talents via sample commissions can connect with clients who can provide the materials and references for those samples.
Artists can post their sample requests, and clients can apply directly to the posts.
However, the “Sample Requests” board may sometimes used contrary to its intended purpose. To prevent bad actors and situations that CREPE cannot protect against, we would like to outline the rules to ensure everyone can use the “Sample Request” board safely.
✅ What you can do on the Sample Request board.
- Transactions must align with the intended purpose of the Sample Request board.
- Transactions must involve payment of monetary compensation (CREPE Points) within CREPE.
- The final product must be provided as a single transaction, from payment request to commission completion.
👍 Ideal for these situations!
- Artists taking on a new challenge: I’d like to gather samples for a new commission type.
- Artists who are looking for specific materials or themes: I’d like to create samples using specific themes that suit this commission type.
- Artists who are looking for unique or unusual themes: I’d like to create samples by collaborating with clients who can provide distinctive themes or references.
- Clients applying for commissions: I want to use the board to find artists who may like to use my references or materials for samples.
- Clients who would like to support new artists: I want to help out artists who are gathering samples for new commission types.
- Clients who would like to discover new commissions: I want to meet artists requesting samples, and work with them on commissions I might not have seen otherwise.
