What are ‘Commission Requests’?

This is a place where clients looking for specific commissions can actively seek out artists who can fulfill those commissions.

Clients can post commission requests, and artists can apply directly to those request posts.

However, sometimes the “Commission Request” board is used contrary to its original intent. Certain commission requests or request applications may be posted that CREPE can not protect against.

To help combat this behavior, please read through the rules for safely using the “Commission Requests” board.

✅ What you can do on the Commission Request board.

1. Transactions must align with the intended purpose of the Commission Request board.
2. Transactions must involve payment of monetary compensation (CREPE Points) within CREPE.
3. The final product must be provided as a single transaction, from payment request to commission completion.

👍 Ideal for these situations!

• Clients who are passionate about a specific genre : When you want to commission an artist who is knowledgeable about that genre.
• Clients with distinct preferences: When you are looking for commissions using a specific art style or writing tone.
• Clients searching for their own niche: When you want to request non-mainstream commissions that are hard to find organically.
• Artists actively seeking clients: When an artist wants to reach out and appeal to clients who may want to commission them.
• Artists wanting to broaden their scope: When an artist wants to try commission types outside their usual scope.
• Artists wanting to showcase their work: When an artist wants to to appeal to clients who may be seeking their area of expertise.

⛔ Things you can't do on Commission Request board.

1. Do not participate in communication or payments outside of CREPE (online or offline).
   • e.g.) Inducing communication outside CREPE, such as voice chats, screen sharing, or using external messengers
   • e.g.) Encouraging private exchanges such as private chats, private meetings, communities, or TRPG gatherings
   • e.g.) Sharing bank account numbers, personal contact details, or external links
2. Not accepting monetary compensation or participating in transactions through other means.
   • e.g.) Participating in transactions without regular monetary compensation, such as offering free commissions
   • e.g.) Making transactions through non-monetary means such as soft exchanges, reciprocal commissions, or review writing
3. You must ensure commissions can not marked as completed before the intended product is finished and delivered to the client.
   • e.g.) Requesting the client marks the commission as complete or requesting deferred payment before delivering the final work
   • e.g.) Seeking transactions like consultations or tutoring where a single transaction cannot prove the commission's completion
4. Please refrain from making unreasonable or excessive requests.
   • When posting a request, set your budget and required deadline with consideration to the product you expect to receive.
